Classes I-IV

An integrated global curriculum is offered from grades I- IV and is based on the requirements of both Indian and international education systems.

The Junior School curriculum comprises of English, Second Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, EVS, General Knowledge and Computers in the Scholastic domain. The co-scholastic areas are Physical Education, Dance & Music (Western and Indian), Art & design, Computer Science. Specialist teachers provide instruction and guidance in the latter group.

Second language options include Bengali and Hindi. Other languages like French, German and Mandarin would be offered if the numbers of students make it viable. Life Skills and Value Education are two other important domains of the curriculum. Swarnim International School focuses on six aspects of learning that provide a comprehensive framework for a child's development :

We view the child as being an active constructor of knowledge, rather than being seen as the target of instruction and mere recipient of information. This role also extends to that of a researcher. Much of the instruction at the school takes place in the form of projects where they have opportunities to explore, observe, hypothesize, question, and discuss to clarify their understanding. Collaboration in projects lays the basis for teamwork later in life. Children are viewed as social beings in the context of the larger community rather than a child in isolation.
